UTMAS is happy to announce that we will be holding Facilitated Study Groups for ANT101!
Don’t know what an FSG is? It’s a judgment-free, active learning environment where students can review and clarify course information with their peers, and learn study skills from senior students who have completed the course! It’s a great way to meet new people and learn outside of your class.
Our FSG’s will be from 5-6PM in DV2049A on the following dates:
- Wednesday, January 31st
- Wednesday, February 14th
- Thursday, March 1st
- Wednesday, March 14th
- Wednesday, March 28th
That’s right, the first FSG starts next week! We hope to see you there 🙂
For the past two Fridays in January the UTM Anthropology Department has had mock lectures presented by candidates for a new teaching stream position in Biological Anthropology. On Friday, January 19th, the final mock lecture for the position will be held in IB385 at 11AM.
The final lecturer is Dr. Sherry Fukuzawa, Sessional Lecturer at the Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Dr. Fukuzawa’s lecture will focus on humans as members of the Order Primate, and why this view is so significant to human kind. Read more about Dr. Fukuzawa’s lecture in the poster below!
As with the other mock lectures, Dr. Fukuzawa’s class will be open to everyone, and will be followed by an open lunch at the fourth floor lounge of the Terrence Donnelly Health Science Complex.
We hope to see you there!
